The date stamp didn't come out on this one, but I'm going to publish the back since it's cute.

In the short message on the back, Fred described Lancaster, NY as "quite a large place."

Anyone from the Geneva, NY area may appreciate this. I don't even know if this building is still standing.
This postcard was also from Fred.

Fred

This postcard was sent to my great-grandmother by a beau. As the story goes, she and Fred were very serious, until my great-grandfather came around. No one knows why she ended up choosing him over Fred.

Up to Gran's

That's how my Grandma Reed always referred to my great-grandmother's house.
"We're going up to Gran's."
"We were up to Gran's this week."
This blog is a collection of postcards received by my maternal great-grandmother, Florence Lafler Abbey, and others.
